So what do you gm boys suggest for the 5.3? its about to hit 97K and its got a funny idle to it.

im thinking some new plugs and some fuel injector cleaner.... but what else?

might check to make sure its not throwing any codes tonight with my edge insight from the truck

Nothing wrong with fuel system cleaner.

Fuel filter
Diffs
Brake fluid flush

That's what I did when I got mine around that same mileage.

Check the tranny fluid too.

I put ACDelco Iridium plugs and Delphi Packard wires on my 6.0L. If you haven't done it, I'd suggest cleaning the throttle body and the MAF as well.

Havent done anything but an oil change and the nav headunit since we got it. in june. its due for another oil change also so think im gonna make a sunday out of it.

keep the suggestions rolling.

T will check the fluids and the fuel filter for sure.

Clean the MAF and the throttle body.

Don't forget:

Belts
Hoses
Coolant

If they haven't been done before now

The forgotten fluid, power steering. Wouldn't hurt to swap it out as well. Don't forget the usual grease fittings. Does it have an in cab air filter?



Almost forgot, the muffler bearings usually go out at 90k.

ALL Iridium or platinum plugs? acdelco a good brand for parts (fuel filter) etc

gonna shop alot on rockauto for these parts
