No problem. It would not be the first time your reading comprehension was a little off. :jester:

The whole "Put an LS in it" Is overdone. But this is the same conversation I was having with people about SBC's. I see a car at a car show with a SBC or LS in it THATS NOT A GM product, I keep walking. Overdone and over rated. Dare to be different.
What makes you say they are over rated? I can understand overdone but the reason why people put them in everything is because they are a cheap, easy, light small way to get power. If the motor was over rated, why is everyone and their cousin doing swaps? :dunno:

Because their fathers and uncles put SBC's in everything and they don't know any better. The engine in that car light, small and easily modified. If consider putting a Chevy V8 in a nissan an easy modification. For the price of the engine sway you could make that car faster than with a factory LS and not need to do more mods on top of the engine swap. Just sayin'. :dunno:

I'll drop it because I am out numbered by the Gm faithful here.

I don't think it's a "GM Faithful" thing here.. I think it's an "easy horsepower" thing.. :dunno:

I think it's also partially an "I love the sound of a V8" thing, too.. :D

It has nothing to do with GM faithful, if Ford had a equal to the LS engine (cheap, easily modable, light and small) I would be all over them. The 302 is pretty close. There is a reason the SBC/LS is a very popular engine and it has nothing to do with people "not knowing better".

Agreed. I love horse power! Plain and simple. I don't care what company it comes from. My first two trucks were fords and my second two Chevys. My next one???

Right now I don't think there is a cheaper options (dollar per hp) than the LS. Plus there are so many kits available to stick a SBC or LS in almost what ever car you want.

That G coupe is also surprisingly heavy. It has almost the identical weight to a new Camaro. Both are right around 3750 depending on options.

I'm not sure why you would do this to an Infiniti, but I would hammer the piss out of it.:cheers:

FAIL

The VQ35 is expensive to mod and isn't worth much when you do mod it. That engine's factory internals are unreliable post 400rwhp, so dropping 15 grand on twins for 400rwhp is lol.

I can understand not liking X brand's engine in Y brand's car, and I would never do it if the car is extremely BA or a classic. I can't speak for SBC's because I don't know much about them, but when it comes to LSx you can't beat the price for power potential.
