Nick I am about to head out, I do not think that jl would fit there anyways....I think you will be stuck with a shallow mount to mount on the hump..that would be a heck of a custom job

That AQ amp is bad ass! I just went with 2 10" Rockford P2's. I don't have them turned up all the way yet since they are new, but they already hit pretty good with that AQ amp. I had the Kicker CVT 12" shallow mount in my truck, I liked it. I actually still have it if you would be interested in buying, but shipping would probably be a bitch.

sooo..enjoying it so far?
Yeah, I wish I knew how to "tune" the amp well though. I struggle with doing that . But I only have it turned up about half way right now and they already sound good, I need new component speakers though now.

I am planning on putting one sub on the hump because I use the two bigger areas for storage... Hence the need for a custom box. I will mount the amps on the back wall. I know I can fit an 8" there and depending on the 10" I might be able to do it. It would definitely be easier with a shallow mount but I am trying to stay away from them. I know they've gotten better over the years, but I never have been fully impressed by them.

The 3 Ohm thing is the new way some of these companies are designing and rating their speakers. They claim that the speaker should only be 3-ish ohms because the wire adds resistance as well and that this new design will make everything work more efficiently when the amp is rated at 4 Ohm.
