So i was looking on ebay and i can get a custom box, 1-10" or 12" speaker and a 200 or 400 watt amp for about 400 shipped ready to plug and play minus me running the wiring since i dont have one.

Or a guy on the f150 fourm will sell me his factory 8" sub, box, amp and shipping for 180.

what do you guys think about the factory subs? The guy in our shop just got one it dont sound bad but i only hear it when he's leaving and he listens to nothing but heavy rock so i can't justify that.

I dont want anything more than 1 12" because i listen to much country/rock and only a little rap i just want a nice bump because i love bass lol

The one question I would ask the guy... How new is the sub?

Mine has been in the truck since 04/05 so it has a lot of use to it. It still doesn't sound the best, but it gives a little thump to some songs. I just got new speakers for the doors so I guess I will letcha know how that sounds this weekend.

But I think if your wanting just a nice bass sound that isn't overpowering then the factor 8" is good, but if your looking to bounce a quarter off the roof it isn't going to happen.

You can also look into getting the factory setup and then upgrading the sub to a newer model which i plan on doing at some point.

I have this set-up that would work great in your truck, had it in mine. 12" Kicker CVT and the box fits under the back seat. If interested I can check on shipping.

Its easy to run the wires in these trucks. I'm going to try to ship it out in the morning. just make sure you use at least 4 gauge wire and get a good amp to push the sub, might as well check out a kicker amp to match it.
