Just curious, what brand of speakers and where can you get them, would you guys suggest?
I have one speakers rattles and the other on the opposite side doesn't want to work at all.

Are you looking to up grade the overall sound system down the road? or is this just to replace factory?

Here is an inexpensive "better then stock" set:

Here are 2 I will be looking at for myself for when I upgrade the whole system:

The first of the 3(Fosgates) has the cross over in the midrange and would be an easier "plug and play" then the latter two.

I'm not trying to be an attention whore but, check out my thread:

You can take as much or as little from that thread to apply to your '02.

Pretty much any after market will OBVIOUSLY be an improvement over factory.

I would suggest if you have novice skill or just want as little time involved that you go with the first set. You won't even have to bypass the main factory plug(as in my thread) you would simply plug the wire running to the mid range inside your door (after cutting the mini factory plug and using female crimp ends) then cut the wire running to your tweeter (again inside your door) and re use it from the mid range.

It's VERY simple. The ONLY "difficult" thing (if you can call it that) is to make replacement mounting brackets for the after market tweeters. I used 1/4" plywood you can use thick plastic etc.

If you have any questions (such as color codes etc) PM me.

I'll check both threads in case you post any ?? also though.

To add. I re used the factory plastic speaker mounts so I didn't have to make brackets. That will take place when I decide on my "permenant" after markets.

In my case I used 4 zip ties for each to attach the speakers to the bracket. I didn't feel screws would hold as the mounting holes lined up with the thin parts of the bracket(if you've never seen the back of these you'll know excactly what I mean when you see it)
