I'm still running factory shocks. I like 'em ok, I guess. I won't know for sure if they're crap or good until I put something else on.

Factory shocks on the GMT900 trucks are a lot better shocks than the OEM shocks were on 800 trucks. I'm still running stockers too and they are fine at 15K. I just looked at my vote. I must have been on crack. I voted for what shocks I Like... rather than following the directions and voting for what I was running.

I never did follow directions well.

I still have the original factory shocks (Nivomat rpo ZW7) and I am still happy with them at 150k. Will Bilstiens last that long?

I consider my ride a luxury truck and want to keep it that way. I only hope I can find a comparable replacement for them for less than the $1,200 tag on new Nivomats. Forum member opinions are quite biased to off-roading or lowering and I find myself in a very small minority. I cannot find a comparison that says "X brand/model handles as well and rides as smooth as stock".

150K on OEM shocks is truly amazing. I'd bet you would be floored at the difference a new set would make. We experience gradual deterioration as they wear out and don't notice the huge difference until a new set is installed.
