Get a tap and die set and turn your shift lever into a threaded handle, having a clamp seems cheesy.

Other option is the "universal" shift knobs slide over the shaft then have 3 little screws that you tighten to clamp it down.

Just get it custom made, having the school do it sounds like the best option. Any shop with a Plasma CNC or waterjet could have it done for you within 5 minutes but they still tend to charge out the ass for small run projects.

Make your own, or have it made, use your imagination,research. that's what I do.

Agree, go to the local school and see if they do sand castings for aluminum. If so talk to them and see if one of the students can do a bat casting for extra credit or something like that.

i sent an email to the guys at the link tobias posted..but yeah i think i will go to the school today and see if they can do it..
