Heavy Metal Red Neck
When I have all my ducks in a row I will post a complete request for advice/opinions on my SAS, but for now I have a question that presented itself while researching for info and parts etc.
I plan on lifting my '02 Silvy to a finished height of 14". On the front I have a Warn Trans4mer brush/bumper guard. I will be adding a warn winch and a custom bumper. On the rear a custom bumper.
Both bumpers will most likely be made out of diamond plate. The front will take the place of both the factory bumper and valence trim.(Hence being taller and being within the Fl bumper height requirements. Not that it's pertinent to this question, but my headlights should be legal height too
) the rear taller to accomplish the same.
How much should added weight be considered in my "equation".
For example should my front springs and hanger be 16" total and rear 15" to finish at an aproximate 14" for both or 15" and 14"(respectively).
I'm thinking the winch and front bumper combined would be aproximate 200(ish) lbs and rear bumper maybe 50-80 lbs.
I REALLY don't know if this is a dumbass question or if the added weight really is that much of a factor.
Thanks in advance.
