Roof is somewhere in the ball park or 9'3"- 9'8" (ill get an exact when im over there)

thanks for the compliments, Its taking every bit of my strength not to go back to all black. I love the black/red combo, its just a bold statement over the murdered look. Compliments like yours makes me think the choice was right.

Well I rattle bombed my shit (as you can see) red and black shortly after I got it. It started off cleaning up and a little black. Then I decided to ad some contrast to the usual all black. I'll do it more "permenant" some day ,but got tired of looking at the worn paint and all.

Your truck being black adds to the overall look and DEFINETLY makes a bolder statement then say mine.

I still say the rims are going to be real attention getters.

So what would you "categorize" your lift as? 16"-18" suspension and then_____? with bad ass tires?

Nice find on the springs Cecil, I'm with Bubba on the red/black stuff. I like it, kinda reminds me of a black widow.

There ya go. Nice one Big Red. He could get one painted on his hood.:naughty:

Pull up to a swamping meet and scare the shit out of the competition on the name alone.:wookie:

THE FRONT LIFT:
10" Leaf Springs
6.5" Front Crossmember
3" Body lift

TOTAL 19.5" lift without tires

THE REAR LIFT:
17" Leaf Springs (i need them to settle down to only 15" Of lift)
3" body lift

TOTAL 20" lift without tires

The difference is how the rear springs are mounted compared to the front. From what ive been told is I need to take the total amount of lift of the front (minus the body lift) and subtract 2-4" from that amount and thats the size leaf springs i need for the rear to sit level with the front. So 16.5- 2=14.5.

TIRES ARE ROUGHLY 49" Tall.

See the difference from a 44" Ground Hawg to 49" Michelin XL

The widow on the hood sounds like an awesome idea. Since the truck is mostly black with small hints of red. Hell yeah that would be cool and you're right, it would scare the crap out of the competition.

Well because the paint is textured, its really hard to tape something off into it.

Ill be getting either a Cab high topper or a flat tonnue (spll) cover. Either way, When I repaint the truck it will be more of a satin black, instead of completely flat. And the topper or whatever i get to go over the bed will have an hour glass right in the center over it.

I wish I had a picture of how I want to bing in alittle "spider" into it but I dont. So ill look for something. Its called a ROCK RING, they weld to the very lip of the wheel and stiffen the outside edge of the wheel. This can be in any design you want, well im thinking of doing mine in a spiderweb design. But this wont be happening on the current wheels. This will be going on the new set :wtf:

Thanks that makes a little more sense. I'm still a little new with lifted truck math and was trying to go off of your o.p. as to hangers and leafs etc. I actually thought hangers plus leafs got the total lift(well plus BL)

So then would you take your 20" and add half the tire for a total of(in your case) 24 1/2" and get roughly a 44 1/2" of lift off of the ground? or do you lose some somewhere and can't go quite of center axel for added tire height?

Now another question is this. Is the 6 1/2" cross member a Ford thing or an SAS thing or kinda both?

i.e. I will be doing a SAS lift(only 12") ,but will be using the usual Ford axels. Will the cross member be involved? Whether the same height or different?

I know a lot of damn Q&A.

I will add I am in near 100% agreeement that those would be kick ass and add to the "Black Widow" concept and will like to see your topper/tonneau (it's only spelled right because I had to look it up ) idea and the whole concept as it pulls together.
