What year is your truck? The beautiful thing about chevys is that shocks are a breeze to do! I have heard good things about the Bilsteins as well.

Fords are easy too, except for the 2004+ with the strut and coil setup on 2wd, and 4wd models, though it handles awesome.

Bilstein's cannot be beat. Them German's build exceptionally well auto parts.

Eight months later, give or take a week or two I finally got to upgrade the suspension on the silvy.

Went with Bilstein F4-BE5-D971-H1 Front Struts in the front. They came up in the ForSale section over on GMFS, brand new in the box. Made an offer on them, seller accepted so I got a smokin deal on them and installed them the day they arrived.

Hard to believe you can fall back in love with your ride, but I did. It was time for the replacement/upgrade. The ride is as good as new (if not much better) and sometime next month the rears will be replaced as well.

My KYB Gas-a-justs ride WAY better than my factory Bilsteins ever did.

Didn't the Z71 package in the OBS use Bilsteins factory? When did they quit using them if they did?
