You using NIC industries?

I've been looking at their firearm coatings
Yeah, they are by far the best in the industry for powders. Have a gigantic selction of colors, and like I mentioned their chrome powder is the closest thing to 'real chrome' they nailed the formula. I've tried other supposed chrome powders by different companies and they look silvery/grey.

Not sure about their firearm coatings but I'm sure they're decent.

Looks good. Now, let's get that tranny issue resolved so this shit can get on that truck of yours. It'll be the first time Jim will be able to see it. :jester:
Went to the stealership today and had the shp foreman go for a test drive with me. We drove 15 ft, I put it in reverse tried to accelerate and BANG whizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz it happened. Didn't need much of a test drive. So now the bang is followed by a grinding whizzing sound like the truck is out of gear but trying to get into gear, it's an UGLY sound and the truck goes nowhere.

Shop foreman had a look on his face like WTF..lol then said, hmm. that ain't good. Def a trans issue, something inside. So hopefully they honor the warranty and don't try and weasel out and blame it on the lift/tune. What's funny is, they had 4 brand new lifted Silverados on the lot for sale. They're going to look at it on Tuesday.

What about Jim? What do you mean? Don't get it. :dunno:

Cool beans about the NIC coatings, good to hear

Jim always says you can't "see" blacked out trucks, that was the joke

As a matter of fact, yes.

The springs were just recoated. Picking them up today and shipping them back to KING, should have pics later.

What color? It's a surprise. The chrome basecoat came out great, but as is usually the case with a clear topcoat, there were too many imperfections that would be visible once assembled, so I went with a one coat powder this time around to avoid clear coat issues. You couldn't see them in the photos I posted, but they were plainly visible and would most likely be facing forward in the strut assembly and apparent.

I'm going to be dumping my exhaust this morning too, then having it blasted and black satin ceramic coated. The damn BBQ paint I used has bubbled up in various places for some strange reason, even on the tip which is never hot at all. I'm done with the spray paint. I wasted my time with it now. Bring on ceramic coating. :gunguy:
