So. Apparently if we go thicker on the coils, there is a chance the powder would crack, which wouldn't be good. So, I'm going to leave the coils as is, and try and spray the UCA's and skidplate a bit lighter, but not as light as the copper on the swatch. Then the tops and bottoms of the KING coilovers will probably match the swatch closely, so I'll have variations of the same color, might look really interesting. I think if everything matched the exact same color it might just all blend in and be bleh.

I think there are enough variations of surface shape and orientation that even if they were all the same color, it'd still show a lot of diversity in color. There are so many shadows and such under there that it'll look great all the same color or slightly varied.

Your call. Either way will look great though.

How about some sexy studio shots of my anodized coilovers, compliments of the marketing department at King Shocks. Yes, these are my actual coilovers, looks like a magazine shot. The rep there, Kellan, cool dude, apparently bribed the mktng dept to take a few shots since I asked for a pic and his camera was broken. They're just waiting on the springs I just shipped them.

Surprised me by anodizing the reservoir same color, ftw.

I've been impressed with these guys so far, King Shocks A+ all the way.

Yeah, like I said, so far I've been quite pleased.

The only thng I'm wondering is, where does the bottom of the coil spring rest? Isn't there something msising there?

Where's my color consultant? Tobias? :)

I am going to see if they could tone down the color, because I don't want orange. Don't mind them being a lighter shade of the UCA's and coils as long as they are the same color family, but they look too orange in that pic, that's the first thing I thought when i first saw them. If I wanted orange I could've went with candy orange.

Agree?

As suspected, the coloring in the photo is off, they're not as orange as they appear in the pic. The anodizing matches the swatch I sent.

KING will take a pic of the whole assembly after they get my coil springs to see how they actually look together. If I don't like it I can powdercoat the coils black gloss, or a black with a copper fleck in it if I can find something like that. Then I won't have an issue with matching.

if anyone cares lol. :)
