Exhaust finally put back on.

Let me start out by saying the ceramic coater did an ok job until it came to the end, literally, the back third of the exhaust (dumped tip).

First time I went to go pick it up, I noticed there was some light/missed areas on the edge of the tip and inside the tip bevel.

No worries, I'll redo it he says. I tell him that part of the tip is visible and needs to be done perfectly. And I complained having to waste gas and drive out there to pick my shit up, didn't he look at his work prior to telling me it's all done??

So, I meet him halfway to pick it up the 2nd time to save some gas and he remarks that everyone makes mistakes it's what you do to rectify those mistakes and quickly puts the part in the back of the car, like he didn't want me to look at it. I take it out, take a look and it's still light in the same areas, WTF dude. He tries to say, oh it's dust, I reply no, it's NOT dust. So, I'm thinking ok, since this guy screwed up 2x maybe he's giving me a break, no he charges me FULL PRICE, which then sets me off. Dude, you didn't make anything right it still looks like shit and you charged my full price (way overpriced IMO as well). Disgusted I pay him and drive off swearing to never use this jackass again.

Does anyone take pride in their work? Seriously. I really think people just don't give a damn and do half-ass work.

ARP bolts, never to rust again. I know it's overkill but original studs both broke and had to be drilled out. I think someone dropped the flange too because I had a slight exhaust leak, it never fit perfectly, so I bought some 4" exhaust gaskets, tripled up on them to compensate and fix the leak.

Torctite s/s clamps won't rust, had them coated in ceramic too. Plus I won't have to worry about the exhaust coming apart again like it did with the previous crappy clamps.

You can see the final dumped tip and the new s/s OEM style hanger I bought, bent around and welded to the tip for a clean look

You can see the lighter missed areas on the inside of the tip bevel. overtime they'll be covered in exhaust soot and disappear. The rust that can be seen in these next two pics disgust me, it looked much much worse 3 weeks ago. I took 2 days a few weeks ago, wirebrushed any rust on the axle, blocks, u bolts..etc brushed on Rust Reformer, then some black semi-gloss Rust Stop oil pant.

You're too kind sir, the rust on the frame is annoying me, the undercoating is starting to fall off.

Looks good.
Thanks Lee.

The stickers on the fuel tank. Top left.

Looks like there might be one on the visible wiring harness as well.

You really need to get this thing in a good solid state early this summer and have Danno come do a nice shoot for you from top to bottom. It's a great truck done very well but it's hard to see it all together. A nice Flickr stream of Dan photos would do it more justice!

Ill remove them next time I am under the truck. I appreciate the compliments Tobias. Yes still have A LOT to do, seems I'll never get it all done. The engine compartment if filthy too.

Not sure what to do with the undercoating falling off due to rust setting in spots.

Yeah Dan takes some damned nice shots, maybe he'll snap some shots for me when it's all done.

Hey, you might be a little crazy, but I admire your unwillingness to compromise if/when you actually know what you want. :jester:
