he had all the paper work, everything looked legit, plus he is a sheriff he thought everything would be ok but i guess not haha
Well... he doesn't have LEGIT paperwork or the car would still be in his driveway. The Skyline was never imported legally to the states. Having and driving one that has not been federally certified as a legal vehicle is a violation of the law... even for the Chief of Police.

If he's as sharp as you say, he had to be aware of the situation. How does a Sheriff afford all of those expensive cars? They don't exactly rake it in. :dunno:

BS, in cali they are making at least $100k A guy in Vegas that I ride with makes over $100k and his wife does the same thing, needless to say they are living good.

wow... over here in florida.. sheriff's make terrible wage.. they should make way more than they do.. and it seems in CA they are over paid. :dunno:

Only way I ever heard of a Sheriff making big money was if he was raking it off the top... OR making good money in a side job (or business).

I come from a family of military and law enforcement. I'd bet the number of Sheriffs in this country making over 80K are less than 50. It's an honorable profession and I love my family but it's not a get rich occupation.

A job you could not pay me enough to do or deal with the BS daily. I respect the ones that are not on a high horse or have a chip on their shoulder. Anymore majority of them are friendly, not that I get in trouble with the law. :jester:
