Project Jeep Cherokee - the condensed version

It's amazing sometimes. This Jeep is 10 years old and it still looks pretty good underneath. It's nice when it comes time to work on them and all of the bolts are not rusted to crap.

Here are a couple of underhood pics for you Robert.

WOO HOO - NOO STUFF!

Got my parts all set for the cooling system upgrade. The Jeep doesn't have any current cooling issues but it is their one weak link in the drivetrain. I like to upgrade stuff BEFORE it becomes a problem.

Three row radiator (all metal), new high volume water pump, thermostat, gates upper and lower radiator hoses, and a new serpentine belt.

I haz another project to do now!

Jeep Update.

Got the radiator, hoses, water pump, thermostat housing all out and the surfaces all ready for new gaskets and reassembly. Decided at this point to go get some more parts... Idlers pulleys, both heater hoses, etc.

After a parts run tomorrow morning, it's time to go back together with it.

Progress! This is the stuff that looks no different after you get done than it did before!

Completely apart.

New thermostat, housing, and New water pump installed.

Pulleys, New Belt, New Idlers installed

TADA! All buttoned up and ready to go!
