I have a 2001 Sierra with power nothing, haha, I guess I would have to do all the wiring to which I'm not scared of doing, could you provide me with the diagrams? I'm sure this would make it much easier for me! All help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Gontran

I'm in the same boat as Gontran with an 04' Sierra base model. This is the nicest install/conversion I have seen. I have sent you a PM with my email so I can hopefully get the 01` Silverado power setup I have to work in my 04'.

Thanks :)

Delart, does your truck have factory power locks? If not, lmk. I am half way through building the harness using a 2001 harness to start from and will hopefully have the lock system all figured out in a day or so and can offer some help in wiring up the three relays for that.

So happy o found this thread

Ok so here is what I have gotten myself into...
I have an 06 Duramax cclb WT that I am converting into basically an lt3. I already have stock power window regulators and locks all the way around. I have stock door panels and switches, and also the door harnesses to match. But this is where I have gotten lost my fuse block has no where near enough pins for the connector that comes off the door harness and I have had an extremely hard time trying to figure out what wire does what and which ones I need to get what type of power to.
Here are my "spare parts"
Full floor harness from 05 Avalanche (spare wire and connectors none of the pins for the plugs match up)
Full fuse block and passenger side connector block(?)
I also have most of the floor harness from the 01 I got most of the parts from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so i found some awesome information on ALLDATAdiy.com. They have pretty much all the connector diagrams i need to wire in my door harnesses. The issue i forsee now is trying to integrate it into the stock fuse box and what not on the 06 everything is going into. Any ideas on this? Or would it be easier to do what gatorfan did and just wire the power portion to my own circut? Also how would i do that? I am by no means an electrician what so ever but i pick up on things pretty quick so any help in this department would be greatly appreciated.

I got the driver side window to work through the factory switch!!!!! alldatadiy.com is amazing. I used a spare battery laying around the garage to try and identify wires from where they plug into the fuse block and where they connect to the driver side window switches. After figuring out what wires were my power wires (brown connector orange wire, 12v constant, and dark green, relay accessory power,) i hooked up the battery to those 2 wires and was able to get my driver side window to function. Now its time to get power to the other 3 windows and get them connected to the master switch (drivers side). I will try to keep my progress posted. This thread was pretty much the only one i found that was remotely helpful so I'm going to try and expand on that so the next guy doesnt sit there and scratch his head for ever trying to figure out wtf all this freaken wiring goes to.

I'd like to know how you did it. My son wants his '95 Cheyenne converted from manual windows/locks to power. I have the harness, door panel, inside door panels with the motors, etc... to do the job.

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Ray

Go to alldatadiy.com they are amazing they will give you pin locations and connector diagrams. Hopefully your truck will be just plug and play. I had to test a bunch of different pins and rob Peter to pay Paul in most places for power. But I was using 2001 electrical components in an 06. Do a little digging and see what years they upgraded the electrical system for that body style. I'm thinking probably 95-96 when they switched mirror styles? With the stuff you are trying to switch to stay within that electrical time frame for your sons truck or you will spend way to much time on the conversion. Also whatever vehicle you got those parts from go back and steal the fuse block and all relay blocks from the cab and dash area. This will help you out greatly. From what I found with my truck they only make a couple different harnesses that come into the cab and a couple different for the dash. But they make multiple fuse relay and junction boxes for the various interior packages that you should be able to use hopefully to just plug and play everything. Hopefully that helps.
