You won't get the answers from the OP, he's been gone for a while. Maybe someone else is familiar enough with it to fill in the blanks for you.

I can mount the inverter to the side of the glove box, but would love to have it all in the center console without losing the storage. I will be undertaking this project in the next couple weeks and will keep you updated.

If anyone has already done this let me know how you accomplished it. I will probably make it really simple and do a 200 Watt inverter and re-use the wiring from the cigarette plug that's already in the console. I checked and it has a 20V fuse so I should be able to safely push 240 watts ( 12V * 20amp).
