Possible Trade for 6.2?

Ok, I love my truck. I would change nothing about it except to have the 6.2 vs 5.3. The local dealer has a truck close to what I have now. It has all the options I have except the following:

Options lost:
1. All Terrain but not the Body Color All Terrain like I have now. This means I get a chrome grille & bumpers. I prefer the painted bumpers but this isn't a huge deal.
2. 18" wheels vs the 20" wheels I have now. The dealer will trade wheels & put my 20's on the truck with the 6.2 so I guess this is a moot point.
3. The other truck is Summit White instead of White Diamond. I know White Diamond isn't for everyone but I have really grown to like it. This is my biggest sticking point.

Gained with the trade:
1. 6.2
2. Truck with 300 miles vs 2,400 miles...who cares.

I have the dealer at my truck + $2670 (I probably won't go higher than $2k though) so I'm getting the 6.2 but giving up the body color package and the white diamond.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a fairly good deal. How big an issue is the paint? Really anything can be PTM'd so the chrome isn't a spoiler.

The engine alone is enough to seal the deal to me. This white will grow in you too, as you get face cramps from smiling cause the 6.2 is sooo much beefier than the 5.3.

Swapping the wheels for you is a cool thing too, but don't forget that they are new wheels your giving them back while negotiating down to 2k.

NO WAY.

If you trade your truck on anything, it had better be a 2014 or newer.

The 6.2 is nice but for no more than you actually drive yours, I'd hold off.

Sounds like a good deal. I understand on the color issue. I didn't realize there was anything other than black.:)

Believe it or not, the color is what I hate to give up. Good point on PTM the chrome if I wanted to do that down the road.

Another good point but in my case, my wheels are basically new. The truck sits in the garage all week. I don't even think I've driven it in the rain yet.

They are emailing the build sheet over right now. I need to check to make sure it truly has everything they say it does.

This is my wife's opinion which is why I took the question to the forum.

I'm not in love with the 2014's yet although they will grow on me as time goes on. I'm negotiating with my company to start giving me a monthly allowance instead of a company car (I hate the company issued Escape). It's looking like we may strike a deal in which case I will be daily driving the truck again.
