Well fellows i went and did it-i got a third toy-and guess what its a 1970 c10 long bed and the kicker is(drum solo)-you going to be rolling-its all PINK-inside out and under the hood-yep its all pink. Its got a great body and runs and drives good-it gots all the orginal parts other than it has a 350 oreillys crate motor(bout 4 yrs old) and a 350 tranny with a shift kit. But yep-it's all pink---the guy bought it when his daughter was born and was going to fix it up and give it to her...-well its going primer black a.s.a.p.-it does have a weiland intake and a 600 eldrobrock carb with hei its all basicly stock. Well its going under the knife soon so to speak. I am saling the 66 stepside and the 78 monza on craigslist in okc for 2500 each so if anyone is interested in either of them let me know.OMG-its all pink.

Hey Alan ?? I finally got my hoist behind the gate. Thanks for the carbs. You are right. Of the 2, I can probably make 1 when I get ready for it. Hope that Monza radiator worked out for you. It appeared to be in nice shape. So how is the 66 running with the new motor?
I was telling Ducky, we need to get together in the next couple months and go hang out at my dads property. Have a few beers, ride the ATV's, fish a little and all that fun stuff. And whoever else is close enough, like the Stillwater people. Hope all is well, take care. Send me an update on how its running. Its been to muddy for me to be putting your old burnt truck backtogether. But I did buy another nice complete cab, interior and all, thats on a truck that got hit front and rear in a spin out on an icy bridge this past winter. I got the whole truck, but its going to be used for parts to revive your old burt one. It's gonna be nice when I get it all swapped around, if weather cooperates since its out at my dads property now too.
Thanks Hotrod for all your help:cheers: the 66 does run pretty good actually better than i thought it would-now just for the finishing touches.

That sounds like a fun project. Do you have plans to switch the 6 lug setup to 5 lug? Get the running gear out of a '71 or '72, that would also give you front disc brakes.

Sure wish I had some cash laying around to buy that 66. You start getting to many projects and the wife starts complaining, you can park that 66 over here and I'll babysit it for you. Just be sure you leave the keys too, JUST INCASE, I might need to move it for some reason. :naughty:
