Painting Emblems

So the plastic on my ford emblem has been bubbled since i got the truck and now it's cracked and peeling. I was wondering if i can take it all off tape up the ford and paint it with black dupli-color and clear? If not what works good to paint the emblem with?

Yep, That should work... To bad you can't get a new one from Patriot Decals.. guess you could do something custom from them

You talking about your ford ovals on the tail gate and grille? For the ovals you can un bolt the front one and sand it down with some light sandpaper, then hit it with some Krylon "paint for plastic" in the satin or gloss black with the Dupli-Color Clear Coat. I did that to my side badges and they turned out great

Well depending on the truck situation in Jan. If i keep it i am getting some duckhead emblems from them.

the one on the front. and yea i'll take it off to paint it. i just have to make sure i tape up the ford logo good. and it's not the easiest lettering .

Yea i think every person that has ordered from them has been satisfied. and they are starting to have more options. besides the fact you can make your own
