One for Vansdonk

I've been going around the state and picking up totalled vehicles for the last couple weeks instead of working the city doing impounds, PPI's, accidents, break down and body shop tows. Kinda needed a break anyway after working 2 fatal Harley accidents less than a week apart.

Here is a L Rover I picked up and couldn't figure out for the life of me why it was totalled. So I asked the shop owner where I picked it up at. He said, they hit something in the road and broke the driveshaft. They put a new driveshaft in it to find out the damage tore up the rear end of the transmission and transfer case. Insurance agreed to replace the units with good used low mileage units. After getting 2 bad set ups out of salvage yards, the insurance company was through with it. So they totalled it out and paid the insured for it. It's now at Copart in OKC to be auctioned off if you're interested in it Vans.

Yeah it is. I was suprised. It did have one small dent on it, interior in good shape, motor sounded fine. That's why I had to ask WTH? This is totalled?

Sup Wyley, doing OK. Just working my ass off. Back in the towing world again. Working hard for little money. One of those things you do cuz you love to do it, cuz it sure don't get you rich. I was the city driver doing all the impounds, PD, OHP, body shops, auto repair shops, a few roadside service calls etc, but after 2 guys quit, I've been driving the Copart truck driving all over the state picking up totalled vehicles, donation vehicles and auction vehicles. And of course still working on the old Squarebody trucks.

I sorta am AWAL from this place. I mod at the dedicated model 73-87 or up to 91 for 1 tons, Burbs and Blazers truck site. Nothing but the gmsquarebody trucks there. I've been more of working on my two 85 4x4's. Then the one 84 2wd 3/4 is now my daily driver, and I have 2 other 2wd 3/4 tons to make one for my son. Hopefully to be a frame off restoration that him and I do together. I pretty much get here to drop in on you buds and say hey, or post up something that pertains to one of my buds, like this for example. So wth is Vans anyway??? I notice she don't get on near as often either.
