It's crazy how they didn't change much over decades. Mine was a '73 and they look the same.

I agree :) Next up is welding the holes that were left behind by the previous mirrors and restoring the door internals and rubber. Hope to get started on that this weekend. I'll start with the front doors then move to the back doors. Due to time constraints and lack of daylight (so limited work time after I'm home from work) I'm guessing that the door phase for all four doors will take me probably 3-4 weeks. Then I'm going to start attacking the surface rust on the roof (if we can get some mild days this winter) and start getting it ready to have paint put on it this spring/summer.

Gotcha. I did the same on a Blazer, it truly cleans them up

This is set to arrive tomorrow. First piece to the round eye conversion I’m gonna do and these are hard to find in GMC especially in good condition :)

Cool. You planning on repainting the whole truck or just the hood and front fenders?
