It still is the fastest, quickest, best handling Camaro ever built but with the new GT500 rumored to have 600+ hp and weigh quite a bit less.

At 4120 lbs. the only reason why it remotely handles worth a shit is because of the HUGE tires they put on it. After a few corners it's going to handle like a boat because you'll be overworking them.

It weighs 1000 lbs. more than a damn Corvette ... are they making the doors out of lead?

Luxury options like sound deadening and such... I'm guessing...

And solid steel frame and body panels

It handles fairly well because of the magnetic ride control. Sweet technology that the ZR1, and CTS-Vs get.

Yes,you should hear it in person,they had one at Oshawa when we were all there in June at the assembly plant,I think thats the first vehicle that I'd buy that I would not have to install an aftermarket cat-back system on,it sounds awesome right from the factory!!!

Yeah,it is heavy,thats a major issue with a lot us 5th gen owners,a regular stock SS weighs a little over 3,800 lbs. as it is.
But like I also say,its not a Corvette,and shouldn't be compared to one,its a totally different type of vehicle.
And the MRC suspension is the main reason why it handles like it does.

No,you'll need to run premium,just like the SS's require as well.
