Bought some leather seats from a '99 Oldsmobile Bravada along with the shaft/tube assembly that goes from the front differential to the passenger side wheel.

$75 for the seats
$50 for the front diff and tube assembly (just took the entire thing, but won't be using the diff)

Don't forget to plug that hole where the actuator cable was!

Or are you just going to swipe the entire plate assembly as well?

I'm totally lost. What the heck are you talking about? The diff. actuator? The vacuum lines? Sorry, but more explanation is needed.

Dennis, I'm still working on the OHC wiring too. Got another step closer though.

You'll see when you look underneath :)

It should be on the diff side, the actuator cable goes into it somewhere :dunno:

It's been awhile

It's been awhile  If you're talking about my progress on the OHC, then yes it has been. I've had a thread on another forum since 6/13, have had 80 views and no responses other than my own.
Oh, so I need to plug the hole where the actuator currently is? So there will no longer be an actuator on my front diff?

Yes, you will no longer need the actuator. That is the whole point of the AWD CV shaft swap :)

Durability FTW.

Very true! I just want to get rid of the damn vacuum lines! Well, that and the expensive-to-replace actuator. I guess its a good thing I took the entire unit then! Otherwise all I was gonna take was the tube and axle itself.

All I can say is that this wiring is confusing as hell since I can't find all the info I need. I've gotta figure out the 8 wires for the OHC itself and the 4 wires for the auto-dimming mirror.

Nothing has really changed with the truck. Still need to remove the headliner and pick a day to do wiring. Hopefully I can get it all done in one day. :fingersx:

Only change is that I pulled the steering wheel today. My truck, being a '98, still has the '95-'97 steering wheel. Not sure why. Anyways, I compared it to the '98+ (or '99+ in my case) wheel and the airbag wire/connector is totally different. I have pics, but no card reader for my camera right now. I'll try to get them up tomorrow.

I thought this was gonna be an easy and straight-up swap....guess not. :(

It only took me about 3 hours to install my OHC.

You have a USB cable somewhere, plug your camera into the computer.

Dennis, how did you support the back of it? Are the holes already in the roof support channel? I'd like to do it the factory way. I have the metal clips that get inserted in the channel. If not, I might need to figure out a way to cut them myself. I saw one guy use a piece of wood (somehow), but that just didn't look safe or right.
