Reviving this 7 year old thread because it is still pertinent. But with a similar shock, I installed Rancho RS9000 shocks on my 2019 F350, and was surprised at how much worse the ride quality was than stock. They are adjustable shocks, but all of the settings are bad. The problem is that they have too much compression damping relative to how much rebound damping they have. If you adjust the clicker soft enough that compression damping is set correctly, then the suspension is too springy because of inadequate rebound damping. If you adjust the clicker to have enough rebound damping, then the suspension is stiffer than hell because of way too much compression damping. None of the settings ride well.

I've never been so disappointed in a set of shocks. After two months of trying to adjust them and grow to tolerate them I finally broke down and put the stock shocks back on (which I had kept, luckily). Wow, what a difference, ride quality is night and day better.

I found the RS9000s worked great for HEAVY loaded trucks.
I had an 04 2500HD that I had a heavy truck camper in the back of, and if I cranked them to 9 when loaded, they were fantastic!

When unloaded, they were barely better than stock
