Not impressed with Rancho RS5000's

Those are very stiff shocks. What did you expect?

With my truck being a 3/4 ton I wasn't expecting it to ride like a Cadillac but I was expecting a better ride than my worn original shocks.

Damn TJ, that sucks. I'll be putting shocks on my truck within the next couple of months. I'm thinking about going with some AC Delco premium gas shocks. Rich can get them for me at a reasonable price.

The bilsteins I pulled off my truck were from the factory and had 50k miles on them and were 12 years old and still weren't even that bad. I will try them next time around.

I just went to Canadian Tire and got Monroe shocks and they ride better than my Dad's '10 with Rancho's, plus they are fairly cheap.

Update.

Replaced the shocks with Monroe Sensatracs and theres a huge difference in ride. Very impressed so far with the Monroes.

Sorry to hear the hassle T.J.

I replace my factory shocks thinking with 103k on them they would be gone so I go a set of new KYP Mono Max. Well my originals were still good but I had the new shocks sitting here from UPS so I put them on anyway. No difference in ride.

I always liked the Bilsteins that came factory on the older Z71's. I have no clue what the hell they put on them now. There aren't any markings on the stock shocks.
