I bought a chainsaw chain grinder from them 10 years ago and it works great.

We buy stuff from them a lot at work, we have an account with them. We have one of their pressure washers which is about 8 years old now. About 2 years ago we had to replace the pump on it because one of the fittings got stripped and it was actually cheaper to replace the whole pump than that water fitting part. We just had to replace the hose on it lime 6 months ago, sure enough Northern was by far the cheapest. Grainger wanted about 40 bucks more for the same legnth and pressure rated hose. Plus the one from Northern came with new quick connect fittings as well.

I agree with this. Their house brand tools are about the same as harbor freight but they do have decent prices on some decent tools.

There's one about 15 miles up the road from me. I enjoy stopping by there any chance I get. I've enjoyed and had no problems with anything I've bought from em. Last thing I picked up from Northern was a new floor jack that's been awesome.

The quality of tools there is a large notch above what you'll find at Harbor Freight. HF has a lot of variety, but much of what they sell is inexpensive Chinese stuff.

"Inexpensive Chinese stuff" doesn't always equal "junk" though. I've had some very good Chinese made tools over the years.

I bought set align wrenches that were junk from a flea market. I paid 3 bucks for them. I use them and the wrench twisted all to hell.
