My guess is antenna or connector...it is usually the hardest part to get to that fails.

Obvious solution is obvious.

Its not the factory radio. Its 2000 Sony xplode CDX-M600/650/750 head unit.


All BS'ing aside, I replaced a 2003 Sony XPlod a couple of weeks ago that had started getting terrible reception. Replaced it with a new Pioneer with blue tooth. It fixed the reception woes, could be the head unit in your case too.

If it the head unit then probably just keep using cd player til goes too. Like I said Im gonna try new antenna first since its cheaper. This one of first sony xplode head units when they were good to have. Its has all black display when the face is closed. The flip open face opens/closes my a little motor. Thanks
