Which is why it makes no sense that he would just up and stop selling HIDs. There has to be an ulterior motive for this.

It makes sense to me, if he found something else to sell that has a higher profit margin. I mean, forty bucks for a set of HID's can't be leaving a lot of profit margin.. :dunno:

From a customer's perspective, though, it seems that their "free lifetime warranty" on HID's is about to fly out the window.. :uhoh:

Thanks. I didn't read more than that first post, the first time.. It looks like he's getting out of HID's to prepare for going head to head with the LED guys.. :dunno:

That's what I got out of the read also. I could see it being a good thing, everyone is starting to sell LED stuff. I just wonder if he is a little late on the bandwagon. :dunno:

I thought I saw something in there about headlight technology changing. So, he's probably trying to get established before that happens, because "everyone" will want to the latest & greatest thing.. I have to admit, I have a DDM kit sitting here that I haven't installed yet (Subaru made it a PITA to do a bulb swap, so I haven't jacked with it).. If LED replacements might be available in a few months, I'm tempted to post this set for sale on the Subaru forum and wait for the LED's to hit the streets.. (especially if the LED's might not require ballasts, modifying the headlight housing, etc) :dunno:

They banned you for that, Nick? Damn.
Welllll.....I may have pushed the issue a little bit.

I was just trying to get him to prove what was better about his kits than DDMs. I could think of a lot better things all those guys could be spending that extra $100 bucks on than just lining his pockets......:dunno:

But he didnt want to provide the info and I was shitcanned

So.....are we screwed for those that have them?

Would I be stupid to buy some more from them right now? (I'd love to get 2 more kits and some replacement bulbs from them)

This sort of ticks me off. I've actually had to take advantage of the "lifetime" warranty due to a faulty ballast.
