I've always liked the sound of Magnaflow but drone is my top concern. I had zero issues with the Corsa so I feel comfortable going back to them. But if I can get a Magnaflow set up without drone, I may go that route this time. Plus they are about half the price.

I think the CW Billet would look great on that truck, personally. Also, I've the 14" Magnaflow, SI/SO, dumped over the axle with a 4" tip and have hardly any, if any drone. It's quite subtle unless you put your foot it in it and even so, not loud

I plan to dump it over the axle like you mentioned. If you do experience mild drone, I'm assuming it is probable around 1800-2000 rpms...that about right?

I'm not expecting performance gains from an exhaust but I also don't want to lose anything. Can you tell any difference from your butt dyno. For some reason, it felt like a lost minimal torque when I went with the Corsa.

I've welded in the 12579 on both Tahoes with a 5.3 and I've had no drone either time. I didn't see a good reason to waste $600 on a kit no one would ever see.

It sounds great at idle and when getting on it but I never have drone and it's never obnoxious. It's very classy. I don't believe I lost anything at all in terms of power or torque, it just sounds a lot sexier. Sounds the same on the 900.

I can't get the sound clip to play here at the office for some reason. :fume:

Does it sound similiar or better than what you had on your blue truck? I'm assuming the 12579 would fit my truck but I'll double check. If so, that may be the way I go.

The price is right.

It's similar except the kit I had on the blue truck gave me a little drone around 2100.

It may be because of the cabs on the Tahoes, or because the muffler is a little bigger, but I've not had a single bit of drone with this one.

OK, that sounds good. So do you have the 12579 or 12589? I noticed the first clip was for 12579 and the other 2 clips for 12589.

You were one of the people I remember commenting on minor drone but it sounds like that was due to the different muffler. Since I have a CC, I'm assuming cab noise should be similar to what you experience in your 'Hoe. If that's the case, I may snag one today. Amazon Prime will have it here by the weekend. :D
