Why buy new when you can restore?
Thanks guys!!!
Yeah, some serious $$$, but the car will go another 100k+ now I hope!!
Now I know why there's an access panel in the trunk for the fuel pump. To drop the tank, the entire rear cradle must have to come out!
Next up on the list is fuel filter, painting a few spots of rust on the bottom of the car, hopefully removing the interior again to paint a few spots under the carpet, drop the trans pan and replace the filter and fluid, then the big stuff: intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and I'd like to do the oil pan gasket too. Hopefully this will all stop my oil leaks.

I saw that too. Shoulda done it then, but I'll have to do it soon. I'm not sure if it is original or not, but I know the fuel tank was replaced before I bought the car (according to receipts), but I'm not sure about the filter or pump.Nice job!
You put a ton of work into that as well as some $$$. I do see one thing, you need to replace that rusty fuel filter. Looks like it is the original one.

I'm hoping to keep the MPG's up around 29 or 30 for the all-highway trips. I'm getting 21-23 for my mixed driving now. I really don't have any complaints of my car. For it's size and engine, I think it does pretty well. We'll see how bad the MPG's get this winter. I really don't know what I'll drive mostly for the winter. I think it'll depend on the weather and snow amounts.
