I made a promise to myself to never buy another truck with a V6 again. This ecoboost engine sure isn't going to change my mind. They may get good mileage, but they aren't going to make enough usable power where a truck needs it.

What????????

Forced induction engines have a torque curve like a diesel...

I wouldn't but it because I can accomplish the same task with a proper V8 and save TONS of money in the process. Plus, a V8 sounds better.

I'd happily roll with the turbo V6 if it gave me 25 MPG instead of 16-17. Overall truck price will probably not be much diffferent than a base V8 truck once it's all said and done. Like I say... time will tell.

I don't see this TwinForce engine getting better gas mileage than the lighter, more aerodynamic Flex.

That being said, we all know that when manufactures test their trucks, they use the tallest rear gear available....which in my book is dishonest.

You shouldn't be able to use a truck with 3.42 gears mileage on a truck with 4.10s.
