So,have you tested 4hi & 4lo?

4L? No. I had to use 4H a couple of times today. One time to get enough traction to back up onto some rocks on the side of the mountain to make way for some guys that were heading my way on a NARROW stretch of trail. (I'll post some video after I get it edited -- I'd guess it'll be several days before I can do that, though.)

The other time was after backing up to let a guy on an ATV through. He wasn't real comfortable with what he was doing and his girlfriend seemed even less sure of his abilities. So, I backed out of the way to let 'em through. I didn't need 4H to back up the hill to make room. But, after he came through and I started moving forward again, the rocks were wet and slick and I didn't have enough momentum. I tried it in 2H, but I couldn't "slowly" go over it in 2H. The rear wheels started spinning and it started to slide sideways. :ohnoes: :nono: So, I put it in 4H and went over it with ease.

If only there was some sort of handheld devices you carried with you everywhere that could take pictures and had their own wireless internet connection you could use to upload and share with TMC. I guess we're all just stuck until that day exists... :dunno:

1GB of data on the phone. At the beginning of the month. You fokkers can wait!

I've tried using the truck's hotspot a few times. But, anytime the phone didn't have a signal, the truck didn't either. So, paying extra for that (after this initial 3 months / 3 GB's is over) doesn't make much sense to me. :dunno:

Good deal  Sometimes it's good to move out of the way to make it easier for others to go past.Little by little you'll get familiar with your truck's abilities(& shortcomings) when off road.Learning is the fun part

Yeah, I was trying to not use 4WD on this trip. Going out to the Crystal Mill would've been easier using 4WD. But, I just wanted to see if I could do it in 2WD.

I started to do this trip in the Denali and quickly lost my nerve at about 1/4 mile into a 6 mile trail.. I made it to a little over halfway in the Outback. But, I got all the way out there today.

4H only came into play coming back out. I have about an hour of video for that 5-6 mile trip. :uhoh:

Yeah, it was kind of disappointing. I tried to use mine in Canada, and it was just as dead as my phone :D

I use my iPhone as a mobile hot spot, so the feature is kind of wasted on me. I assumed the damn thing in the truck was using OnStar or something, and never read up on it actually using Verizon . I was all jazzed thinking it would work in Canada for our little road trip. Damn it!

I wasn't sure who they were using. I just knew it wasn't living up to what I had "wanted" it to be.

Its Verizon, and with my plan on my phone, the data is cheaper going through my phone. I would imagine this would be the case for most people. I guess if you had some prepaid plan for a shitty cell phone, it would be a cool gimmick. You still have to go through the whole cellular credit check thing, so I can't see a positive point to the damn thing :lol:If it was part of OnStar, and you could really use it anywhere, it would be a cool feature
