Well I've been extremely busy fellas. Sold the mustang awhile back and picked up a 2002 jetta 2.0L 5speed last monday.. Had to fix a few things which I figured for the price lol. rubber mounts for the air pump, dip stick tube was broke in two places, drain plug was stripped, and a few hoses. Still feel I came away a champ in the overall price. I will post some pictures tomorrow after work. :loser:

I did notice the rpms seem to be kinda high. In 5th gear at 60mph it runs at about 2700rpms but I've seen on the VWVortech.com It's normal for the 2.0L any input there?

The gearing sounds about right. That engine doesn't make a ton of power so the gearing helps.

Nice snag!

I think my 5spd Neon did about 2400rpm at 50.

4spd auto Cavalier does 55 at 2000rpm surprisingly. It makes $35 in the tank last a week. I'm happy. Helps the truck not need to get filled up.
