I just went out and hooked them up again.
I can see my dark green trash can from 60 feet with just these on.
And that's with tonight's bright moon too (so it would be even easier without the moon I think).

Would there be somewhere to search online to find WI state laws regarding auxiliary driving and fog lights? (I don't think we have any major laws, but I've only seen 1 truck with these lights and his have been disconnected for 6-8 months (he has them wired up with some regular auxiliary driving/fog lights on his brush guard and I'm betting he fried the tiny wiring that comes with these things)).

EDIT:

I found on another forum from 2005 from a guy moving from Australia to WI and it mentioned WI Law 347.26.
I Google-d it and found this site.

347.26(3)
(3) Adverse weather lamps.
347.26(3)(a)
(a) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than 2 adverse weather lamps which shall be mounted on the front of the vehicle below the level of the centers of the headlamps.

347.26(3)(b)
(b) Adverse weather lamps shall not be used in lieu of headlamps unless absolutely necessary in case of rain, snow, dust or fog and then only when a vehicle is equipped with 2 adverse weather lamps mounted on opposite sides of the front of the vehicle and when both such adverse weather lamps are lighted. Whenever any vehicle is equipped with only one adverse weather lamp, both headlamps of such vehicle shall be lighted at all times when such adverse weather lamp is lighted.

I should be good on both of these since my location is below the head lights and they are no where near bright enough to be used solely as head lights.

Oh, and no other colors other than white and amber on the front and only red in the rear may be displayed. -- Well, these are the White models, not the blues (you can get some in Amber if you want them).

There is also a mention of lamps greater than 300 candle power. If they are used, no more than 4 can be lit at one time. -- But I'm not mounting Off-Road style lamps anyways.

Thanks for all the input guys. I really appreciate it.

I'm thinking I'll be mounting them behind the grill in the location that I took the night shots. I really like how that looks.

Now all I have to eventually do is come up with a way of mounting - that won't be any time soon, but when I do get these suckers in, I'll be back and post all the info you could ever want.

You bet ya!

You've been patient with my interior parts and I thank you for that too.:)
