Like I said, not reccomended. There are just a ton of people doing it, so I thought I would point it out for a cheap solution.

Sure. I hear you man.

I'm still torn between stock or 265/75/16. Not because of fitment, but originality. This is a completely stock truck. I'm just not sure if I wanna change it up.. :dunno:

I'd liketo look at those michelin ltx's...

That is a great size. I have run many, many of them on 2500s. You would be happy with the 265 I bet.

Well I ran the 265/75/16 on my 01, and then I went to a 285/75/16, then I dropped it.

So I know about the tire size, I just want a good looking tire. I'm glad to hear that a 265/75 is almost as tall as stock, and the 1" wider I like.

I just want to get a really good performing, looking tire.

I hear ya. I was speaking in the context of a 2500, with Highway Tread...There are some pretty good choices in that size in a 10 ply. I think you will find what you are looking for.

How do you tell 10 ply from another ply? load rating?

I looked at the transforcers you provided the link to. I also looked at michelins, but damn they want $180 per tire lol.

Yep, load range E.

You will find a capacity of at least 3340# in that size, usually 3400+

Is it imperative i go back with that rating? this truck will never haul another over the cab camper while i own it.
