I woke up this morning and my tire was flat as a pancake.
After removing it to install the spare (which is a severe pita to remove from under the truck BTW)
I noticed that it has not one but two nails in it. One nail in the tread, and one in the sidewall.
No shop will repair a hole in the sidewall. I repaired one myself before but it was just a pinhole basically. This hole is at least 1/8 inch maybe up to 3/16 inch. The tire I repaired before, I put a patch on the inside of the tire AND a patch on the outside of the tire (it was the side facing in) and it lasted almost a year before it started leaking again. I am wondering if I should try to do the same thing with this tire or not even bother with it and just fork out the dough for a new tire. The tire still has about 60-70% tread left, that's why I was considering trying to patch it. :dunno:

Not worth it, new tire time. At least you didn't hit a curb and have to get two new tires on a Sunday 500 miles away from home and pay a stupid price for the only option available.

Happened to me twice on a previous set of tires.Luckily I had purchased the Road Hazard Warranty,I didn't even consider trying to get 'em repaired.

Hell they will try to sell you all 4

I have plugged a sidewall puncture a few times for emergency situations :) I have always kept a tire plug kit handy.

It's new tire time, homie
