No, that's not a banana in my pants.
I woke up this morning and my tire was flat as a pancake.
After removing it to install the spare (which is a severe pita to remove from under the truck BTW)
I noticed that it has not one but two nails in it. One nail in the tread, and one in the sidewall.
No shop will repair a hole in the sidewall. I repaired one myself before but it was just a pinhole basically. This hole is at least 1/8 inch maybe up to 3/16 inch. The tire I repaired before, I put a patch on the inside of the tire AND a patch on the outside of the tire (it was the side facing in) and it lasted almost a year before it started leaking again. I am wondering if I should try to do the same thing with this tire or not even bother with it and just fork out the dough for a new tire. The tire still has about 60-70% tread left, that's why I was considering trying to patch it.
