No way I'd run 10,000 miles on any oil... much less 20 or 25K.

At 7500 I'm nervous. Oil changes are just to cheap to risk contamination for any longer...

7500 to 8000 miles is my limit.
If I have run it real hard... (which of course I wouldn't do)... I'll change it before that.
It is over $7,000 to put a re-manufactured NorthStar engine in the Caddy...
I have no idea what a NEW one would cost.

Oil is a whole lot cheaper than that...

I let the Altima go 15K between oil changes. I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil & Extended Performance filters. Been doing it since the first "free" dealer oil change which was at 5K. The car has 70K on it now.
