I was thinkin the same thing. she said she didn't want it to be loud Said she likes loud trucks. Then I asked if I could put an exhaust tip on it and she said no

Thanks guys, she's a good gal IIRC, her dad bought it brand new then gave it to her a few years ago. I was suprised to see it in such great shape for 200k miles. Motor runs smooth and the body is straight as an arrow. Can't remember if it's got the small or big V8, but she doesn't want a muffler on it

It'll probably have the 5.3... Pop the hood and look... Or check the VIN


And she wants straight piped? sweet!

Edit: Looking at the pic, I'm going to say 5.3

I was thinking that all of the tahoe's and suburban's came with the 5.3

They had the option for the 6.0... But I don't think you could get them with the 4.8

Yes you could get them with the 4.8. And I'm pretty sure the only GMT-800 SUV's that came with the 6.0 was the GMC Yukon Denali and the Escalade.

You could get a 4.8 but can't say I've ever seen one. I'd bet this is the 5.3, probably an SLT since it has a sunroof (and he says it is in the title) and pretty sure the 5.3 was standard on all but the base SLE. You could get the 6.0 in a GMT800 SUV...it's what they put in 3/4 ton Suburbans.

RIP Konnie. My girlfriend and some friends were drivin around (she was drunk so someone else was drivin) and they rolled into a culvert (don't ask ) Totalled the vehicle and did $8000 worth of damage. Kinda aggrivated about the whole thing but oh well. She's now on the look for a new car. I started a new car thread here
