Ever put tire shine on your tires and subsequently get that oily mess all over your wheels...thus attracting dirt and making your wheels dirty?

Well, here is my solution:

The best part is that when I made that highly intricate wheel guard, I had my old tires on that did not have rim protectors. My new tires do have rim protectors...and that wheel guard fits in there perfectly.

I have one made out of plastic that I've used for years. I had to make a new one when I put 20s on my truck... old one wasn't big nuff.

I remember years ago a product called Armor-Guard that was a similar plastic item. It works!

I never use spray so I don't get that mess but that's a good idea.

I've always applied tire shine with a rag.

But that is a good idea.

I use foam shine, it gets in all the crevices. Gel collects dust and turns them brown, but i guess that's cuz i live on a dirt road

I've always just sprayed it on the tire, not near the wheel, and spread it towards thew wheel with a rag. Never had problems with it getting on the wheel. :dunno:
