My boat trailer overhaul.

Well i just restore my trailer... I wire brushed the whole trailer (grinder with a brush wheel on it)... Primer'd and Painted the whole trailer gloss black...

Installed all new LED's submergable lights.. and harness
New 1500lb winch.. and strap
1500lb Jack
Reese receiver coupler
Bow roller and pin
New carpeted boards
New EZ lub axle
Replaced all the bolts in the Leaf springs
Also built some new safty chains
Ive recarpterd the steps(but i dont know if im going to put them on yet.. Ive been thinking about just coating them in beliner spray)
Also built a new receiver for my truck..
Also brushed the wheels and primer and painted them... Here are a couple pics of it I think it turned out well..

Took me and a buddy about 2 days of hard work to finish this... We wire bursh wheeled the whole trailer inside and out... Got it done friday night... Saturday morning we take the boat out to do some fishing.. Start to head up river... We was running around 60mph.. and hit something underwater... Fugged up a 500 dollar prop.... And blowed the lower unit.... Epic fail...

Im totally broke from the trailer rebuild.. Its going to be a few months probably to beable to save enough money for atleast a used lower unit

Accepting donations..(or lower units ).. hahaha

Nice work on the trailer :thumbs: Sorry about the lower unit :( I had to replace a lower unit on a boat I once had...rebuilt and shipped from Florida to Ca. was $1,500.00 :eek: Wifey wasn't too happy :lol:

WOW. Trailer looks brand new! Great job.

Outboards can be such a pain. Sorry to hear about the carnage man.

That happened to me once in.my buddies bass boat. They had a evinrude 225 and we owned the prop on a stump.

Sucked!
