My friend gave me a check to cover what I've spent so far, man of his word.
I told him I would let him know if I bought more parts to replace the faded lights and bezels which I told him was most likely a sure thing. He also told me to let him know how much I was gonna add for labor when I was done.
Unloaded everything at the yard this morning. Ok I know i was super bummed out when I said no pics but I'm over the initial trauma so now I can share a couple with you guys. These are after I started the tare down and stopped cuz I realized the frame is gonna need some work.

I'm gonna try and straighten the core support mounting bracket and weld it back together. If I dont succeed I can go buy a new one from the dealer and either bolt it on or weld it back on. I wont be using the passenger fender I bought or the cowl but I got everything as a package deal so I can save them or sell them anyway. Here are some pics of the parts.

The guy I bought them from had them out in the sun and it looks like original Ford paint so its super faded. I want to paint some of the parts black like the core support and the inner fender so the red doesnt stand out after we paint it. My goal this week is to get it put back together and road worthy.

Hey, Jose.. It looks like you're gonna need one of those "thingies" to cover the engine..

Oh, nevermind.. You have already bought one! It's in the 3rd and 4th pictures...... :uhoh: :jester:

Gonna need to do some welding on the new fender. The bolt hole where the hood hinge is bolted cracked so I need to use a piece off the old fender. Puts a bit of a snag in the plans but its better to do it right and not have problems later.

:werd: Other than that, the pieces look straight.

I measured the the mounting bracket and its pushed back about 1 1/2 inches.

I have 2 options at this point. I can try and heat this up with the torch and bring it back to its original spot or I can buy a new mounting bracket and weld it in place after I put the fender and the new core support on. This is the only mount I found.

I'm gonna need a piece of angle iron on each side to weld it on my frame since it has the crumple zone but I think we can make it work!
