I actually finished it tonight, it just was too dark to take any pics. [EDIT] Pics are below.

The donor dash out of a 1999 Suburban. I have a bunch of pieces that came with it that I will likely put up for sale.

Old busted ass dash, notice it was held together with fWONking plumbing strap in it's final days.

Not a terribly difficult job, but it is time consuming and will test your patience.

Pretty cool swap! I'm wondering if I can do this with my truck...All 80-96 f150s have alot of interchangable parts. I wonder if the dash is one of them

Nice job.

I'm lacking in the patience department. All those wires and then there are the air bags to deal with. :ohnoes:

Well if putting a 97-99 dash into a 95-96, you don't have to worry about an airbag. The airbags only came on the 97-99 trucks. Now they did the the steering wheel airbag though, although you shouldn't have to mess with that one. I'm sure its just an empty space where the airbag goes in the dash now.

Nice work! I have often wondered how big of job this is. My 95 had a small crack in the passanger side dash and I always wanted to change it out.

Nicely done Kyle . Hopefully I'll never have to do this, but this could help!

I think he did it mostly because it was cracked and falling apart. Also, I think the later dash looks better having the airbag. They just look more symmetrical to me with the airbag being about the same shape as the instrument cluster. Plus maybe he was able to hook up the airbag to actually function with the driver's :dunno:.

Right. I just have the panel in there for now, no airbag. I'm going to find an airbag delete pocket for it.

Yeah they are a fucking hoot. :frustration:

nubuilder is right, I changed mine because the old one was beat and cracked up.

Yeah, you could easily add a passenger airbag to an older GMT400 with this dash, but I don't recommend it. The 97+ cabs have a support bracket on the passenger side that helps the dash hold the extra weight of the airbag. The older cabs don't have this bracket, so most of the airbag's weight would be put on those three crappy screws on top of the dash.
