I wouldn't drive it to work though and leave it unattended for 8hrs though....unless it were inside or in a fenced off area where nothing else was, but then bird droppings are still possible. :D

Yup, that's my worry - not the bird droppings, but leaving it out of my sight for any period of time... Even when I go to shows, I'm never far away. Have caught a couple of folks attempting to see if they could get a 'keepsake' off the truck (knob off of shifter, horn button, etc., 'fiddling' or turning/twisting) - and many of those pieces are VERY hard to come by. I won't even mention the number of people who think it is a place to lean, sit, or put their foot up to tie their shoe...
