If you have liability how do they know what condition your vehicle is in before the wreck if that's how they do it?

If you have just the minimum Liability Insurance and no Collision coverage, the insurance company does not pay to fix YOUR vehicle. They will pay the other person to have their shit fixed but you are on your own fixing your stuff.

So if you have only Liability they could care less what condition your vehicle is in because they aren't gonna fix it regardless.

I was wondering the same thing earlier when I was replying... What does any of this matter?

No uninsured motorist coverage + uninsured motorist + liability only = jack shit paid by anyone.

In their head, they havnt completely ruled out the girls insurance covering her in the boyfriends car. They have a couple friends still telling them it will. My dad went yesterday to get an estimate on damage and got some facts just in case and for his own satisfaction

I suppose it is a remote possibility. I didn't start getting my policies written like that until after age 25. Anything is possible, but those are Premium Policies.
