If you have liability how do they know what condition your vehicle is in before the wreck if that's how they do it?

In perfect condition in my area it is.
It's been wrecked.
No shit...To figure out if its totaled You take the value of the truck in perfect condition with consideration of mileage ($7,700) and if the repair cost is more than 3/4 the value before it was wrecked ($7,700) then it's totaled. My dads truck before it was wrecked in perfect condition sells for around $6500-$7500 in my area.
It's my understanding that in most places the value of the vehicle is considered based on the condition just prior to the accident. I'll wait for Jim to chime in but I doubt perfect condition is the default, especially considering the fact most cars are never in perfect condition.
If you have just the minimum Liability Insurance and no Collision coverage, the insurance company does not pay to fix YOUR vehicle. They will pay the other person to have their shit fixed but you are on your own fixing your stuff. If you have liability how do they know what condition your vehicle is in before the wreck if that's how they do it?

So if you have only Liability they could care less what condition your vehicle is in because they aren't gonna fix it regardless.
