Damn, I missed the obvious. You are correct, that is where I should begin. I know the guy who has it is a very goo mechanic. But that does not mean much when you do not know much about the vehcile you are working on.

Replacing an ECM will be cheap compared to dealing with mold if it's bad.

It is pretty bad, but I figured it I gut the whole thing and pressure wash all of it, it shouldturn out fine.
