I know that!
I realize that the rotary doesn't have a place in modern safety nazi / fuel economy / emissions restricted cars, but it was an amazingly powerful engine that would rev forever and burned a ton of fuel.

Ironically, rotary engines were once acclaimed as an effective option to increase fuel-efficiency during the 70s and 80s...
I heard about that and it is sad I love those engines years back I bought a 88 RX7 for my son and I fell in love with it I tell you the faster one goes in it the better the engine runs.
He had the engine ported and some other stuff and my 5.7 couldn't stay up with it I wouldn't mind getting one for me. The turbo models could get after it.
One of the few engines that as it gets older the better it runs also as long as your taking care of it. Over heating and dirty oil kills em. The bastards can drink some fuel!! And it only gets worse with age and modifications. I want another one bad.....but my 67 Camaro is enough of a project right now. I can talk myself into "other" projects toys too easily
I have been eying a little 57 Bug though...$900.00 just bare chassis with a rust free body and pan sitting in the Arizona desert. Wife has approved the buy....I keep telling myself NO!!!!!!!! Get that Camaro on the road first....I have been strong and now this fWONking RX7 thread comes up. Damn ClownOne of my favorite little cars of all time!! Damn it I want one. Stay away from craigs list I keep telling myself.
