There is absolutely no point to this thread other than to whore the Toolbox so Jim lets us keep it. Feel free to up your post count by posting useless crap. Here's our version of a roofing nailer.

Very nice, do you use it for steel sheets or wood. I'm sure it could be used for anything though.

Steel. Used on the roof decking. We have a bunch of smaller handhelds that are about the size of your average carpenters framing nailer but with the powder caps this thing can get a bit more pop behind it and it really saves a guys back throughout the day.

I don't have a friggen clue about carpentry nail guns. There are a few guys on here that do residential construction for a living that could probably get you pointed in the right direction. I can tell you to stay away from Hilti, their prices have been proven to cause heart attacks and or strokes in 99% of Americans.

Any brands to stay away from when shopping for a framing nail gun?

One thing to take into consideration is being able to have your gun serviced locally when it breaks, and they will break occasionally if you're really using them hard. Mainly seals and o-rings. I've still got older Duo-fast framing guns. They are still going strong. Hitachi has been making some excellent guns. I have several roofing nailers that can't be beat. Senco makes some quality guns as well.

My mix of guns:

Framing gun & heavy staplers - Duo Fast

Roofing - Hitachi guns

Finish nailers and staplers - Senco

All can be serviced anywhere I may work. Fasteners are readily available
